The main difference between autocratic and democratic leadership is that while autocratic leaders do not involve subordinates' opinions while making the decision, democratic leadership are required to involve subordinates in the decision-making process.

In Autocratic leadership, the leaders have the power to make any decision based on their knowledge, experience, and information. They do not need to ask their subordinates for their opinion. On the other hand in democratic leadership, leaders consider the opinion of their subordinates and delegate decision-making power to them.
