Success in investing is not something that just falls into your lap without effort. There are a few rules which you need to consider such as: don't waste your time and efforts, invest in a business you are capable of understanding better, and don't just simply do what others are doing; be unique.

Investors typically follow the three rules of investing. The first rule is to invest with patience. The second rule is to invest in what you know and believe in. Finally, investors should diversify their holdings and make sure they have enough money invested so that they can't lose everything in case of a loss.

The rules of investing vary for each individual, investor, and financial institution. But the basic rules which everyone follows are quite simple. Choose wisely among the available options, before investing, gather information in a particular field, and invest in long-term goals.
