A SWOT analysis is a strategic planning tool. It is used to assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that are influencing an organization. A SWOT analysis can be conducted in two ways - internal or external. Internal SWOT analysis looks at how an individual or company's strengths and weaknesses are impacting their business operations. External SWOT analysis looks at how an individual or company's strengths and weaknesses are impacting their business operations as well as the market they operate in.
